Veterans Cemetery Vault Installation
Coffin vault installation at the Phoenix Memorial Veteran's Cemetery. In the past in this same cemetery only individual cement vaults were placed into the ground. Only one coffin would fit per vault. But husband's and wives were often buried in the same grave, one above the other. Now the cemetery is in the process of expanding and they are using huge cement vaults or crypts that can hold four coffins each. Each vault has two lids on it. The cemetery claims this is just part of it's expansion and that the new, larger vaults save on space, time, and money. However some people think it might really be part of a sinister plot or a way to dispose of massive amounts of human bodies in case of a pandemic such as the bird flu.
